The Story of Hometown Potters

I have been working in clay for more than 18 years

I I began throwing on a potter’s wheel in 2003 as an elective art class in college at Lock Haven University. In 2006, I opened my own studio under the name Wildfire Pottery. My work has always been primarily functional using several different types of clay & firing methods. I strive to make pots that are elegant forms pleasing to both the eyes and the hands. In late 2017, I collaborated with another potter to host a Potters’ Market and soon after we began began the process of opening open Hometown Potters’ Studio in September 2018. In the fall of 2023, the studio moved to its current location on Valley Street of Lewistown.

The mission of Hometown Potters’ studio is to help make the ceramic arts more accessible to everyone.
